I need help to design a matrix handling of the flavor quantum numbers of a huge number of species . Possible?

This would be according to the Standard Model, and the flavors would, of course, include up,down, charm, strange. Given: a large population of complex molecules which, for one reason or another, at a given time show a "surge" of flavors, manifested by near-identity of quark manifestation. I am not in trouble with the mathematics--I am trying to use matrices. The trouble is in trying to explain this in English. Could anyone help me? What common terms can I use? I have a bunch of molecules. I am able to mathematically describe the statistical apex of quark flavor because something happens to the population of macrospecies and they all peak, as it were, in flavor. Now what do I call all this in upgraded standard English or in a low-grade jargon of physics and chemistry? Thanks.
