Normal to get blisters with new skates?

I am on my second pair of skates, they are more advanced that the first ones so they was heat moulded and around size 5 1/2. But with my first pair they were just a quick size 6 buy from the local skate shop. I wore them for the first time today and i have about 3 blisters although i never got any from my first pair :/ Do i just have to break them in and will they get better? I noticed that the inside of my new ones are suede, could they just be rubbing my socks? Thanks
