Ther wer 2 mourningdoves buildin a nest in my backyard but the guy disapeared an hour ago.cud he hav died D:?

There where two mourning doves building a nest in my backyard. The male usually comes back once every minute. But it's been more than an hour, and he hasn't come back. Could he be wounded or even have died? I've seen a falcon in my backyard once before, and there are lots or crows and small birds around here. I'm worried for her, she keeps looking around and she just sits. Is there anything I can do for her?
